UHP Oxygen

Ultra-high purity (UHP) oxygen is an essential gas in many critical industry applications. Its high purity level enables this product to meet the stringent requirements for processes that demand exceptional quality and performance.

Meritus Gas Partners provides top-tier UHP oxygen solutions tailored to meet the specific needs of industrial, research and manufacturing clients.

Purity Standards

UHP oxygen is categorized by various grades based on its purity and the levels of specific impurities. Key standards include:

  • Research grade 5.0: Minimum purity of 99.999% with total hydrocarbons below 0.5 parts per million (ppm), carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide and moisture below 1 ppm, argon and nitrogen below 5 ppm and krypton below 3 ppm.
  • Ultra-high purity grade 4.4: Minimum purity of 99.994%. Commonly used in process-control operations, laboratories, metal analysis instruments and semiconductor manufacturing.
  • High purity grade: Contains at least 99.8% pure oxygen with total moisture content below 5 ppm, hydrocarbons below 50 ppm, less than 100 ppm nitrogen and 10 ppm carbon dioxide.
  • Zero grade: At least 99.6% pure oxygen with total hydrocarbons below 0.5 ppm, specifically designed for general industrial use where higher concentrations of impurities are permissible.
  • Industrial grade: Minimum of 99.5% purity, typically used in industrial and manufacturing processes requiring water content below 50 ppm.

Quality Control

Meritus Gas Partners employs stringent testing procedures and adheres to strict quality control measures so that each batch of UHP oxygen can meet or exceed industry regulations and certifications. Our quality control measures include:

  • Batch and individual cylinder analysis: Each cylinder undergoes comprehensive testing to verify purity levels.
