Most welding opportunities require a high school diploma as well as technical and on-the-job training. Plus, earning a professional welding certification can reward you in significant ways, including higher salary potential, stronger employment demand and better job stability.
Not only do you not need a college degree to become a welder, but you also do not have to worry about a lack of opportunity. Welders are in demand in a variety of industries. Welders often work in industries such as sales, project management, education, engineering, inspection and robotics.
