At Volunteer Welding Gases & Supply, we are part of the Meritus Gas Partners network, offering quality medical gases and gas equipment from our Tennessee locations.

Since 1973, Volunteer Welding has been offering quality services and products, including cylinder gases, and has established a reputation for customer service and high quality. Today, as a Meritus Gas partner, we can provide responsive local service with the additional support a large company can offer.

Volunteer Welding has medical gases that can comply with the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), the National Formulary (NF) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Medical Gases Guidelines. Cost-effective solutions for your medical facility include gas cylinders and high-volume, on-site tank supply, delivered right to your hospital or medical facility on your schedule.

Our Medical Gases

Volunteer Welding offers a variety of cylinder gases and other options.

Nitrous oxide (N2O) is commonly used to reduce patient pain during some medical procedures. Volunteer Welding has cylinders of USP-certified N2O, generally standing by and ready for delivery.

United States Pharmacopeia (USP) certified oxygen is more commonly used to offer respiratory assistance. Volunteer Welding uses strict quality control measures and testing to ensure your oxygen is delivered ready for your application.

Used to power medical devices and preserve medical samples, nitrogen is key in medical research and treatment. Volunteer Welding Supply offers multiple grades of nitrogen for different applications in 4K and 6K cylinders, dewars, high-volume, on-site tank supply and microbulk, all typically ready for delivery. We own and operate a 4,000-gal liquid nitrogen trailer to deliver nitrogen to your facility quickly.

Our staff can expedite your order, answer your questions or help you find the right product for your needs.

Carbon dioxide (CO2) is used in medical settings as a respiratory stimulant, in surgeries for insufflation and for imaging. With four CO2 microbulk trucks and a 20-ton CO2 transport trailer, Volunteer Welding Supply is ready to deliver carbon dioxide to your clinic or hospital.

As a premium medical gas supplier in TN, Volunteer Welding also offers specialized medical gases and items, including:

  • Argon, for Argon Plasma Coagulation (APC), surgery and diagnostics use.
  • Dry ice, used for transporting medical products and for cryotherapy.
  • Helium, used for cooling medical machines and offering respiratory support.

The Nashville headquarters of Volunteer Welding is home to a high-pressure cylinder filling plant capable of filling oxygen, helium, argon, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and other gases. This location also offers 76 tons of CO2 storage, a specialty gases laboratory and a CO2 transport trailer.

The Tullahoma location fills liquid nitrogen dewars, nitrous oxide and other gases. At the Knoxville high-pressure plant, the Volunteer Welding professionals fill argon, oxygen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide and other gases. The Jackson location fills CO2, and the Baxter location fills liquid oxygen, nitrogen and other gases.
