Argon and carbon dioxide blends are the most common choice for most MIG applications, enabling short-circuit arc transfer and welding in all positions. We provide 75% argon, 25% carbon dioxide blends, which work well for most standard applications.
You can also get varying levels of argon and carbon dioxide gases for different applications. With higher levels of argon, you can achieve benefits like arc stability improvements, decreased spatter, smoother weld appearances and cooler arcs. You may choose a different blend based on the material type, thickness and specific transfer mode you intend to use.
