Laser Safety Equipment
Fiber lasers like the THEO TM and MA1 series operate at wavelengths invisible to the human eye, requiring specialized protection. THEO provides laser safety equipment engineered to block these specific frequencies:
- VIZ-R series helmets: The VIZ-R1 and VIZ-R2 active protection helmets feature sensors that detect scattered light.
- IPRO glasses: The IPRO high-OD (optical density) safety glasses protect wearers for observation and inspection tasks.
THEO’s VIZ-R series helmets feature active sensors that darken the lens within microseconds of laser ignition. Through rapid-response protection, operators are shielded from high-intensity infrared radiation while maintaining clear visibility during setup. The VIZ-R’s interlock compatibility also allows the helmet to communicate directly with the laser source. Should an operator remove the helmet, the system automatically shuts down the laser beam, significantly enhancing safety.
The THEO IPRO glasses protect bystanders and supervisors. The glasses also feature interlock-ready safety curtains, establishing compliant laser-controlled areas in shared manufacturing spaces.
